swift-httpdate

provides functions that deal the date formats used by the HTTP protocol (and then some more).

if let r = try? Httpdate.str2time(str: "Tuesday, 08-Feb-1994 14:15:29 GMT") {
    // str2time return tuple (DateComponents, Timezone)
    if let comp = r.dateComponents {

The function is able to parse the following formats:

Carthage

Create a Cartfile that lists the framework and run carthage update. Follow the instructions to add $(SRCROOT)/Carthage/Build/iOS/swift-httpdate.framework to an iOS project.
