Implement iBeacon support in your app through the mTAG network with Beckon
Beckon is open source and can be easily integrated into your application using CocoaPods.
Ensure your application supports iBeacon detection through CoreLocation by adding an NSLocationAlwaysUsageDescription
to your info.plist
Add the following line to the top of your AppDelegate
import BeckonKit
Ensure the following three calls to BeckonKit are in your AppDelegate
func application(application: UIApplication, didFinishLaunchingWithOptions launchOptions: [NSObject: AnyObject]?) -> Bool {
Beckon.start(application)
return true
}
func application(application: UIApplication, didReceiveLocalNotification notification: UILocalNotification) {
Beckon.handleDidReceiveLocalNotification(application, notification: notification)
}
func application(application: UIApplication, didRegisterUserNotificationSettings notificationSettings: UIUserNotificationSettings) {
Beckon.handleDidRegisterUserNotificationSettings(application, notificationSettings: notificationSettings)
}
